Learn more about Lehla
Lehla has always had a passion for health and wellness ever since she was a little girl reading Alive magazine's at her grandmother's house. She did well in business classes in high school and knew that she would need to learn smart business if she wanted to own a healing centre one day. Her vision included a one stop healing centre employing various practitioners and offering a variety of modalities to help people lead healthier lives and heal from illness. Lehla took business at BCIT and then went on to complete the CGA program. She worked as an accountant for years trying to save money towards starting a business. After being in a couple of car accidents, and experiencing a number of other physical and emotional traumas on top of working way too hard (as an unconscious way to distraction from negative nervous system responses), Lehla was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia at age 30. Several different medications including anti anxiety, sleeping pills, various pain meds and anti depressants (even though she said she wasn't depressed, she just felt awful and had nil energy and couldn't keep up with regular life). Lehla was told that chances are she would get worse as she grew older, may struggle to have children and that there was nothing more they could do for her. She was 30 and her real adult life was just beginning. Lehla thought this can't be the rest of my life. Yes she became depressed after that, but chose NOT TO GIVE UP. She remembered those Alive magazines and how all of those articles instilled hope and offered valid and useful health information and tips. Lehla started to do holistic research on Fibro and other similar chronic conditions (Rheumatoid Arthritis, Adrenal and Chronic Fatigue etc) and realized many shared these common symptoms. Lehla thought this might be the right timing as she'd been waiting for! She was drowning in long hours of accounting while suffering daily physical pain and ignoring all of the emotional traumas and was in no shape to start a business. Lehla then started her health journey, sought out naturopathy and acupuncture initially and then bought an infrared sauna into her home. She used a number of strategies and modalities to find out which ones worked best. Lehla tried every modality out there and part of it was healing but another part was research for what she would offer one day in her dream business. It was a large investment mainly because she wanted to try anything and everything to see what worked best, what worked a little and what might be best suited for certain individuals or situations. Lehla realized she could save clients tons of money by saving them from having to go through all the research, the modality testing, to not knowing which practitioner to go for what etc. Lehla then started to gradually learn more in the holistic health and wellness field by taking a few courses (with Alive Academy actually! - because who is going to get health advice from a CGA lol) From there Lehla went on to the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and obtained my Registered Holistic Nutritionist Diploma. Alongside this training, Lehla networked and practiced with a variety of practitioners including osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists, acupuncturists, homeopaths, health coaches, counsellors, psychologists and other less common practitioners offering healing modalities to assist with mental, emotional and physical support/relief. She then started to help family, friends and branched out to those referred. At the same time, she supported my husband with his Research and Development company and was also thrilled to have 2 very healthy children. Lehla waited until her youngest was in school full time and then was searching for the right business opportunity.
